Among her sci-fi roles is Apple TV's dystopian favorite, Silo, which has remained a regular on streaming charts even though Season 2 ended last January. However, with no new episodes released yet, Silo's reign on the charts appears to be getting challenged by another sci-fi hit, albeit underrated, which last aired on October 24, 2025.
Earlier this week, Silo ranked as the tenth most popular TV show on Apple TV's charts globally, a list led by Idris Elba's Hijack. The sci-fi drama held the position for parts of last week as well, but at the same time, fellow genre favorite Invasion surfaced in the same position. Invasion has been the #10 most-watched series title on Apple TV, on and off, often kicking Silo off the charts despite its unimpressive 60% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes compared to Silo's 90%.
Silo, which premiered on May 5, 2023, to critical acclaim, is expected to conclude after four seasons. The series was renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 on December 16, 2024, a month before Season 2 concluded, with filming on Season 3 wrapping in May 2025, while Season 4 began filming in August of the same year. As for Invasion, it premiered on October 22, 2021, to a mixed reception, but that didn't stop the series from getting two more seasons. It was renewed for a third season in February 2024, which premiered on August 22, 2025.
What's Next for Rebecca Ferguson?
With Silo still without a return date, fans can keep busy with other projects featuring Ferguson, the most recent of which is the critically panned sci-fi thriller Mercy. Released on January 23, 2026, Mercy also stars Chris Pratt, who portrays Detective Christopher "Chris" Rave, standing on trial accused of murdering his wife. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced AI Judge (Ferguson) he once championed, before it determines his fate. Other upcoming projects featuring Ferguson include Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, set for a March release, The Magic Faraway Tree adaptation, and Dune: Part Three, scheduled for this December.
